KEY THE MISSION :



I've dreamed about cars since childhood, but never thought about the experience of turning the key. This project was about designing a key that matches the dream.

Heavily inspired by Formwerks  






CONTEXT







While shooting at Grassroots car meet, I spotted a BMW E30 M3 and asked myself: what would the perfect key look like for this dream car?




INITIAL SKETCHES






At a car meet, I sketched a matching key set on a napkin, inspired by the E30's iconic kidney-bean grills.









AI ITERATION



After sketching a clear direction, I created a rough SolidWorks model and ran AI iterations in Vizcom to refine form and material.






SOLIDWORKS MOCKUP




I imported the Vizcom image into SolidWorks as a reference for modeling, making adjustments as needed.


3D PRINTED MOCKUP




Once the key was modeled in SolidWorks, I 3D printed it to create a scale mockup.
